This weekend was great! For St. Patty's Day, went to a party with Adam, Nate, and Stacie. Then Saturday was Mike's party and that was a blast ended up falling asleep around 4:45 in the morning, Sharkey and I were the last ones standing. Then Sunday morning around 11:30 had to go home (end of party basically) and then went to a party type thing with Megan around 6 that night and now it's Monday morning and we have the day off school and that's where it is.
Just doing reading for fun lately (Shakespearean Sonnets and quick scenes) and came across one that I like:
Sonnet 116
Let me not declare any reason why two
True-minded people should be joined. Love is not love
Which alters when it finds change in circumstances,
Or bends from its firm stand even when the lovers are unfaithful:
Oh no! It is a fixed mark
That sees storms but it never shaken;
It’s the guiding star to every lost ship,
Whose value cannot be calculated, although its height can be measured.
Love is not Time’s jester, though its rosy lips and cheeks
Come within the compass of his sickle.
Love does not alter with hours and weeks,
But, rather, it endures until the last day of life.
If I am proved wrong about these thoughts on love
Then I recant all that I have written, and no man has ever loved.
